Elektors innehållsplan 2011

Elektor aims at inspiring people to master electronics at any personal level by presenting construction projects and spotting developments in electronics and information technology.

Elektor is published 11 times a year with a double issue for July and August. The magazine is available from newsagents, bookstores and electronics retail outlets, on subscription and on-line as a monthly pdf download (Elektor Digital Plus subscriptions only).

Elektor's international editions together form the widest circulated publication on electronics and computer technology. Elektor is the world’s only electronics journal with an in-house design laboratory.

Elektor publishes more circuits and articles per year than any of its UK, US or Australian competitors in the market. Elektor has been on sale and distribution throughout the world since 1975, without fail or change of title.

In each edition published in 2011, the theme of the month is covered in three ways:

  1. A background article describing new technologies in the relevant area, new developments or devices, market overviews or unusual approaches. Companies active in the field covered by the theme of the month are expressly invited to propose their articles. Background articles appear within the editorial space of the magazine, hence are assumed to not contain publicity, i.e. in essence should concentrate on technologies only. Publication is at the discretion of the Editor.
  2. Selected items in the News & New Products section (usually pages 8–12). Companies active in the field indicated by the theme of the month are expressly invited to contribute to the section by sending their press releases to the Editor by email. Publication is at the discretion of the Editor.
  3. One or more construction projects relevant to the theme of the month, co-engineered for publication by the editorial team and Elektor Labs. The projects can be internal or based on ideas and outlines received from freelance contributors.
